Writing and Mice

On the book front, I’m about 50 pages from the end. Of course, then there will need to be polishing and editing and all sorts of other business, but like horse nearing the barn at the end of the day, I feel like the end is in sight.

On another note, those of you who are Miss Kitty followers, last night she, who is usually a giant couch potato, came across a mouse on one of her last jaunts out into the big wide world. Since she seldom goes far from the deck, I’m assuming it wandered across her path. So she brought in proceeded to play cat and mouse with it while I was trying to watch the season finale of THIS IS US, I finally got exasperated watching her torment the teeny thing and caught it myself and put it outside.

No, I don’t jump on chairs and squeal when I see a mouse, I got a heavy dish towel and dropped it on top of the mouse, scooped it up, and took it outside. Then I put the dish towel in the washing machine. Score one for me.
